Shmita Hives

Shmita Hives is a free set of monthly prompts to explore Shmita in small groups (“hives”) in local communities (or online, through a digital hive). The curriculum will offer options for hives to study together, practice rest and collective care, access play and embodiment, identify needs in your local community, and collaborate on social/environmental justice projects.

There will be an opportunity for cross-pollination among groups midway through the year, in the form of an online Shmita Hives retreat in winter 2021/22. This opportunity will connect local hives with a broader network for inspiration and support to sustain the local projects. You can learn more by heading to tinyurl.com/ShmitaHives.

Shmita Hives is a collaboration between Alexander Grace Vickery and Asher Edes, two Judaism Unbound listeners who together form a chavruta (study-partnership). You can request the Shmita Hives curriculum or start your own hive by emailing ShmitaHives@gmail.com. Or you can join an existing hive by signing up at tinyurl.com/SignupSH.
