Natan Margalit: Judaism Unbound Episode 323 - Jewish Fractals

Natan Margalit is the founder and president of an organization called Organic Torah. He joins Dan and Lex for a conversation about his new book, entitled The Pearl and the Flame: A Journey into Jewish Wisdom, Ecological Thinking, and Healing in a Fragmented World.

This conversation is the latest in a year-long Judaism Unbound series, where once a month we have been exploring Shmita (the year of release) with a wide variety of different thinkers, activists, and artists.

[1] The Pearl and The Flame cannot be ordered just yet. But stay tuned! We will be sending out information to our email list about how you can order the book in the near future. If you haven’t joined our email list yet, and you’d like to be kept in the loop about the release of this book, you can join it by clicking here.

[3] Margalit references a situation he calls “Cats Over Borneo,” to help illustrate the importance of systems thinking. For a video that explores this story in greater detail, click here.

[4] For an early episode of our podcast, which explores Thomas Kuhn’s ideas of “paradigm shift,” referenced in this episode, see Episode 6: Leviticus II - Dan and Lex.
